Omigawd. Pat Robertson dates the founding of the nation to those Christian English speaking American settlers, not to the Declaration of Independence or the Constitution. Yes, planting a cross on Virginian soil founded the nation, not just a colonial outpost of a European monarchy that ruled by divine right, and we can ignore everything after that.

. . . . And I believe we�re now coming into the greatest harvest among the Muslim people, that we�ve heard about for so long, and I believe this is what it�s all about. The Lord said to me before we ever went to war, "I have declared war on the spirit of Babylon," and that�s when I knew we were going, and I believe that�s what it�s all about. It�s not about a man. It�s not about a people. It�s about a spirit, and liberating people from that spirit.

It's just a pity we had to destroy so many Iraqis to save them.

The Lord sure does pick some unlikely people to talk to. You would think He might have better sense, wouldn't you?

doesn't Bush also listen to Billy Graham, the guy who blamed the Islamic religion for all the world's problems? and also, Jerry Falwell (*shudders*), who blamed, of course, the Gays? he's quite the packrat fundie, that bush.

Yeah, I think Franklin Graham gave the invocation at the National Day of Prayer morning service. Franklin is the one that publically declared Islam to be evil.
