Thumbs up Another Old Europe Atheist

Howdy y'all,

I happened 'by accident' upon this board. I must say I'm impressed.
I've been an agnostic since primary school, weak atheist since I was 'bout 12, and strong atheist since I was 15 (accidentally the year physics, chemistry, cosmology, biology et alteri entered upon my curriculum). Not so funny when you're the only *labeled Protestant*active atheist* in a Catholic high school...

Anyway, I look forward to some great fun as in discussions, humor (wicked me like), anything to stimulate an active, inquisitive mind.

P.S. I've pinched the nick from Douglas Adams: that's what Zaphod Beeblebrox called Dent Arthur Dent

Default American in Europe

Mein Deutches ist schlect, aber ist verbessen!
That probably isn't even correct.
I love it here in the Old World though, and I'm having a great time learning German along with seeing the great sites.

Hello-- I toast to you and strong European coffee! Ah where would we all be without Douglas Adam and his "All things putrid and ugly"?

Will you observe the towel day ? I think I will. It sounds like fun. There's also a thread about it hidden in the humour forum's deeper parts.

Of course I will! I have from the first one.

In a weird sort of way, his death led me here. I heard about it from someone and I got on-line to check out their story (sort of a "NO, you MUST be wrong!" kind of reflex), I found out it was true and also found the forum at douglasadams.com. That one closed down a while later, and I went to another fan forum. Then I started finding bulletin boards on other areas of interest. Including religion, hence my arrival here. I've been hooked on internet forums ever since.
