Most of the information I'm sure you already know, and if not, can find around the internet or in Micheal Moore's book.
In the summer of 1999, Katherine Harris (G. W's presidential campaign co-chairperson and the Flordia secretary of state in charge of elections.) paid Database Technologies $4 million dollars to thumb through Flordia's voter rolls and eliminate anyone suspected of being a felon. This was done so with the blessing of Governor Jeb Bush (G W's brother). Now Florida State law states that ex-felons CANNOT vote.Sadly, that means that about 31% of all black men in florida are barred from voting because of a felony on their record. GW and Harris knew that removing the names of ex-felons fromt he voter rolls would keep thousands of black citizens out of the voting booth. Black Floridians are overwhelmingly Democrats... Well it appears that Flordia, Bush, Harris and company had commited mass fraud.. not only removing black felons fromt he voting rolls but also removing thousands of citizens who had never commited a crime in their lives. How did this happen? Harris told Database Technologies to cast a wide a net as possible, including similiar names to that of felons, same birthdates as well as similiar Social Security numbers. Not long after 170000 odd something voters in Florida were wiped of fthe voter rolls permanently. Now, cutting names off the roles weren't enough, 8000 additional names were thrown off because Database used a false list supplied by another state. A state which claimed that the names on the list were former convicted felons who had since moved to Florida. Well, the felons served their time and had their voting privileges reinstated. Also, there were others on the list who had only commited middemeanors.. Guess what stated offered Database this list? TEXAS Funny how something like this should have gotten out, some inquiry should have been made but none... The american media ignored it. It was the BBC to get into this story.. It's a sad day when we have to look at a country half way around the world to find out the truth. You think that is bad? HAH The night the polls closed there was obvious confusing over what was happening with the counting in Florida.. A Decision was made by John Ellis, the man in charge of the Election Night Desk for the Fox News Channel.. HE went on air and declared Bush the victor, even when they were stil counting the votes. "So, who is John Ellis?" Well, he just so happens to be the first cousin of George W and Jeb bush.. Hmmm convienent... There is more to this conspiracy... maybe I'll post it later... Bust this is enough to twist your brain in a knot... |

Yes, Greg Palast uncovered at least the majority of this. Hadn't heard or don't remember the part about the Fox News guy.
He wrote about it in his book The Best Democracy Money Can Buy. A yahoo search brings up tons of interviews he's given at various websites. He griped about how Salon wouldn't print the second half (and most important half) of this story until 7 months after it was all over. In a strange coincidence I just saw a Salon.com commercial on TV where a man with a head for a TV talked about how the corporations own all the networks and give only one viewpoint and how this wasn't such a good thing. I wonder why they waited to print that second half, yet put commercials on TV like this? Possibly co-opting the movement? |

I wouldn't be surprised if they were co-opting...
I mean, who do you think helped fund GWB's campaign? |
