Ah, stardust, you beat me to it! Yeah, Ax, Xian is just like Xmas (=Christmas). I use Xmas in any cards that I write. Besides annoying the fundies, it saves on time and ink (or keystrokes if you're here).

It makes me laugh that some Xians get offended by "Xmas" since it supposedly takes "Christ" out of the holiday. Tell ya what, do a little informal survey: go out and ask 10 (or more) kids for their first thing that comes to mind about Xmas. I bet most will something secular like Santa or presents before they mention Jesus or anything religious. Xmas isn't becoming a secular holiday ... it IS one now! Face it, Xians!!!

thats what my friends do for me when they give me Xmas cards. theyre very thoughtful, although im a little unsure what theyre going to do for our newly found muslim friend this year.

I recall reading somewhere that Xtian has been used as an abbreviation since the 1500s.
