Maybe this belongs to Misc. discusisons, I'm not sure, but I think it's OK here. Anyway, check these links at
<a href="http://story.news.yahoo.com/news?tmpl=story&u=/ap/20020826/ap_wo_en_po/bulgaria_noah_s_ark_3" target="_blank">Yahoo</a> and <a href="http://news.bbc.co.uk/2/hi/world/europe/2218096.stm" target="_blank">BBC</a>. I wonder what kind of problems they will encounter. One thing is for sure - they will need a lot of wooden material. [ August 28, 2002: Message edited by: Slex ]</p> |

I wonder where they'll get the gopher wood?
Do you suppose the Greeks will now demand a Deukalion ark too? Oolon |

I've been following Ballard's explorations and it is a fascinating story. He's made some wonderful discoveries. He's yet to discover anything like the ark nor is he looking for it.
I think that a tourest ark park is harmless enough (as long as they don't build it in my back yard). There's a lot of history in the area, and perhaps some of it will be (accuratly) presented. Isn't Ken Ham throwing up something similar in KY? doov |

Perhaps an attempt to build the arc would help to demonstrate how silly the whole story is.

Like I said on t.o., it sounds like the European equivalent of the Corn Palace.

![]() What comes off it at the end would be interesting. Votes for who to play Noah? Ken Ham? In the long tradition of scientists taking risks themselves to discover something, I think it's the least he could do... ![]() Oolon |
