Catholic. Would that not indicate that mythologies are transparent if we focus on reality?

Do you have any idea what maya is? If you did, you would see that your response was (as usual) a non sequitur.

Well I am not a Hindu but I know the difference between reality and illusions.

I realize this forum is, in part, to air one's views, brainstorm, comiserate. That's great. But sometimes it's more appropriate to do a literature search or reasearch a subject, than just come up with your own ideas. Get the facts on a subject. Just my opinion/preference.

Anyway, there have been many scientific studies done on the need for religion, including what you wrote of Villagesmithy. I'll try to get you some good links if I have time.
