I concede that I may have thoroughly butchered the spelling of these terms, however my understanding of the two are as such

homo-the books that were agreed to be included in Biblical canon
anti - the books that were not agreed to be included in Biblical canon

I was wondering if anyone had any information on this phenomenon or where I could check out info on the surrounding events?

I've tried looking in the Catholic Encyclopedia, however I seem to be missing it. Any help is appreciated

There is an essay on Luther's antilegomena.

The earliest use of the terms of which I know is in Eusebius of Caesarea.
