Default Atari Game help

Alright, there is this Atari game that I remember virtually everything to, but its name. I need its name! Help me, please.

Its got two parts. First is you are looking at a spaceship (center of screen), whose defense you control. Objects come at you from 4 or 8 directions and you need to fire at that direction to destroy the object. If you pass that level, you then are on another screen. On the far left and right there are poles with a "beam" that you are trying to avoid while trying to rescue two (maybe more or less) people at the surface. The game then repeats, getting harder and harder.

Does anyone know the name of this game?

Is it Missile Command??

Go ask at gamefaqs.com on the Atari message board, or just go read reviews until you find it.

aaaaggggh... I had that game, but can I remember the name? Nooooo....

In the first one you had to defend Atlantis from the bad guys. When you inevitably lost, a spaceship took off from the ruins, and that was the start point for the second game, where you were tooling around the galaxy picking up critters to repopulate Atlantis... aaaaagggh why did you do that to my poor poor brain!

It wasn't by Activision or Atari, but I can't remember the name of the company. (They had the shiny rainbow colored foil on the cartridges, though.)

That's the one. I think there is a picture of a spaceship on it as well. But my brain ends there.

Was it just called "Atlantis"? I vaguely remember it, but never played it.

COSMIC ARK!!!

Kind of a fun game, but it gets old after awhile. It's just the same thing over and over but faster. The little alien critters that you pick up look different though.

Cosmis Ark That's it!!! I never would have guessed that name. Is there anything you can't find out at this board?
