1. Marriage is really cool--my husband & I are great!
2. Stick up for your desires/interests/wishes or you'll never get to do the things you want to do or be the kind of person you want to be (in re: outside family, work, etc.)
3. Take time for your family & self; don't work too much

That internet forums aren't just for nerds who have nothing better to talk about than 'Star Trek' or 'Lord of the Rings'.

The best thing that i've learnt in 2003 is that typing in italics is a good way to pull chicks. . .apparently?

To ammend my original post one thing I was glad I did this year was to tell my Dad on his 80th b'day that he had influenced my life in a postive way (not that I've done everything he expected me too or wanted me to and we disagree on many things) and I learned a lot from him.

That was brought home New Year's Day when my Mom called and told me that my Dad had been admitted to hospital and yesterday underwent surgery for a gangrenous bowel. He'll be okay but it has been an stressful start to the New Year.
