What the fuck's a cubit?

Bill Cosby asked that same question nearly at the start of his career. A cubit is the distance from your elbow to your fingertip - maybe 45 cm? Sort of like a foot being the length of the king's foot, I suppose...

Seriously a cubit is a unit of linear measurement from the ulnar tip of the olecranon process of the human elbow to the longest finger of a MAN. So was Noah a wee dwarf with short arms or Michael Jordan? There would be two very differently size Arks.
