Default U.S. soldiers urged to pray for Bush

My dad sent this to me. Is this for real?

Quote:
They may be the ones facing danger on the battlefield, but US soldiers in Iraq are being asked to pray for President George W Bush.
Thousands of marines have been given a pamphlet called "A Christian's Duty," a mini prayer book which includes a tear-out section to be mailed to the White House pledging the soldier who sends it in has been praying for Bush.
Quote:
The pamphlet, produced by a group called In Touch Ministries, offers a daily prayer to be made for the US president, a born-again Christian who likes to invoke his God in speeches.
What the hell?

It's for real, but I have some questions that maybe those assembled can answer. Is the group that publisjhes this in any way connected with the government? And, were these pamphlets (govt produced or not) actually distrubted by the military, or did this group just mail them to servicemen, or what?

Yip its real, I dont think the group has any connection to the government. Their site is:
http://www.intouch.org
and I recognize the preacher man's face from the TV.
There is another thread on this subject that I was on my way to check when I noticed this one popped up too.

The pamphlet that is being recieved by the troops is on the site also, in .pdf format.

Thumbs down

Praying for Bush is actually a good idea. Only God has the power to help Dubya to construct a coherent sentence -- but even that would tax His powers.

I said on another post that prayer book would be useful if you are out on the middle of the desert and caught short for toilet paper.

Question "Pro-Life" warmonger

Which part of "Thou Shall Not Kill" have I misinterpreted? I don't go to church, so I guess I missed the asterik at the end of that commandment.
