I will wear what I want and act how I want, in private or in public, no difference.
Heh. I will probably never wind up in public wearing a bright yellow shirt, but that's more because I don't like yellow than anything else. I'm pretty much the only guy I know who wears purple with any kind of regularity. Anyway, there's a guy kind of like that on our hall; he got slapped with the nickname "emo kid" (you'd have to see him to understand), so he made a shirt that says it because he found the nickname amusing. We (the hall) also spent most of first semester trying to figure out whether or not he was gay, but he's straight.

BTW, something fun to do to someone homophobic: sit down straddling the person across the knees, facing him. That always gets people flustered. It's even funnier when you're significantly heavier than the victim, because then his legs fall asleep.

Brighid: You're forgetting one MAJOR fact. Women have no point in their moral/ethical code that says they can't bludgeon a guy's balls. We guys are banned from doing such things, but you're (collective "you") not.

Ditto to VonEvil: Why didn't you just, like, punch the guy in the face after the first few minutes? Save yourself a lot of hassle, AND make the guy look like an idiot in public.

Would it be inappropriate for you to have been really offended by this comment? I mean, is being homosexual a choice or what?? I'm sure he would have been offended if you had implied that he chose to be homosexual, and that if he ever chooses to be straight you could hook him up with a lovely female.

Re the above, it sounds more like a face-saving parting quip than a serious suggestion to me.

I guess it depends on how it was said. But yes...

I have fun pointing out to friends when someone's checking them out. Usually good for a squirm, giving me and a total stranger something to chuckle together about.

I've never been anything but flattered. It's not as if it's so hard to say that I'm not interested. It's usually much more uncomfortable for me when it is a girl rather than a guy. For some reason, gay men are much more likely to respond appropriately to a plain 'no, thanks' than women are.

You do, however, have the knee-groin advantage.

Hey, these days as my glasses get thicker, my butt gets wider, and my boobs get saggier - I'll take flattery from any quarter that I can get it!

Seriously though, as long as the attention/flirting is polite and "no thanks" is taken for an answer, I find being hit on by other women to be just fine.

Sleazy/grabby stuff bothers me no matter which gender is involved.

I assumed the implication to be that if I ever discovered I'd been gay all along, that type of thing. As it turned out, I later discovered I was pretty much bisexual, although a lot pickier about guys than about girls.

I've always felt more flattered when a guy hits on me than a girl because it seems gay men have much higher standards in men than women in general.

BUT...the tradeoff is that being hit on, for some reason, automatically puts me in a submissive role and that isnt comfortable to me.

So basically, if you get hit on by gay guys alot, you KNOW the ladies think you're fine too.
