I've searched the Mozilla site and couldn't find a report of this problem. I'm browsing with the most recent version of Mozilla and many, but not all, of the .gif images on II are distorted. Like this:
The black and transparent triangles are the distortion I see. It only happens with the board-native smilies, and it doesn't happen with all of them. All the other images look fine. I downloaded a beta build last week and, while it had at least one cool new feature and at least one new/regression bug, the distorted .gif problem stayed the same. Any ideas? |

What version of Mozilla and what OS? I have Mozilla 1.3 on Windows XP and all the images come out okay.

Mozilla 1.5b on Windows 98SE.
Just realized that's a beta. The problem was the same on 1.4. |

I'm running the "stable" version of 1.4 on 98SE (upgraded from 1.3 a few weeks ago), and don't see that problem.

I don't see that problem w/ Mozilla 1.3, or 1.4 on Redhat 8.0. Report it on bugzilla.

Do you have an ATi video card? There are known problems with some ATi video drivers.
Oh, and there's no 1.5b or beta yet, 1.5alpha was released a couple of days ago. |

Get Mozilla Firebird 0.6. It's the best Moz browser I've ever used. Almost as good as Opera.
