The wife came home a little pissed from her annual work Xmas party. Seems that a distinctly Christian prayer was delivered before the food was handed out. Normally, I would just tell her to just grin and bear it, but she works for the local electric authority, i.e. the city.
What do you think? Should we make a fuss? What can we do after the fact? Is a city-owned business bound by the same CSS rules as state institutions? |

Speaking as a non-authority on this subject;
If it was a voluntary party, and there was not a condition of employment for your wife to be there; it's probably OK. Of course, if there are several employees who feel the same way, maybe they could get together and express concerns. Or maybe she could do so anonymously. |
