So what, dumb people are everywhere. I remember my history teacher told me that an American politician wanted to "nuke" Canada for selling, get this, cedar shingles!

The worst part was her apologizing for it. It's frustrating that politicians can't say something and mean it. She should have issued a written statement expressing regret that she used the word damned instead of stupid.

Question

What are these U.S.-enjoyed freedoms that the Canadians lack?

I was referring to a few laws concerning the owning of ones own buisness. I went to college in Alberta for a few years and was surprised to hear about these. I don't have any references at hand about the exact laws at this time nor how they were worded. I do remember being glad that I was an American upon hearing about them though.

Having said what I did in the above post though, I will say that I really like Canadas system of heath care. It seemed like alot less beaurocratic nonsense when I had to visit the hospital there. And it didn't cost much.

I'll take a few business regulations over the possiblity of being picked up as an "enemy combatant" and held incommunicado without any due process.
