First, the use of the so-called "Wilhelm" scream in The Two Towers. When the elf fell off the wall and emitted that stupid scream, it completely pulled me out of the scene. All I could think of after that was Chewbacca tossing that poor sap off the AT-ST in Return of the Jedi.

Second, the entire love scene in Blade Runner. The whole scene feels like it was directed by an amateur. The stupid music and lack of chemistry between the actors didn't help either.

I also agree with Bree about that scene in Minority Report. I was hoping throughout the rest of the film that Anderton would lack depth perception. Although having him bump into things might get old quickly.

I have to agree with VonEvilstein. "feed the young on the bodies of the dead"? I dont even LIKE physics, but how many people can't work out whats wrong with that just by common sense?

Duck!
Using humans makes some sense. Initially, there would have been more humans than cows available (or any other kind of mammal). Adult humans certainly take up less room than cows. Would humans generate more electricity than other mammals?

Why create a pseudo world for them? Because without it there wouldn't be any movie! Maybe without the neurological stimulation of what seems to be a real world, the humans would just curl up and die. Maybe a warped sense of humor.

So, in The Matrix, if they were getting electrical power from humans because the sun was blocked...then, uh, where do they get the food for the humans, from dying humans? (woudn't last too long)
Umm, geothermal? Then why need humans?
Aren't the machines intelligent enough to send up rockets to make solar panels?
Fossil fuels? Why need humans again?

Weird premise, even though I enjoyed the movie, it didn't make any sense to me.

Sure, maybe they have a way to explain it away later, but it doesn't make sensenow .

From the fast and the Furious:

-Ja rule looks under the hood of a car and mentions there's enough nos(nitrous oxide) to blow up the car.

The only way to tell how much nos the car is running is to pull the damn nitrous jets and measure them!!!

-The fact that people call it "nos"

That's the name of one of the leading companies who make NO2 products, Nitrous Oxide Systems. What's wrong with calling it giggle gas or nitrous or go juice?

- Brian wines to the auto guy about needing two bottles of NO2 because his car topped out and he needed more power.

More bottles equals more time between fill-ups. Not more power. And besides his car was redlined at 140. How does NO2 change gear ratios?

I'm no rocket scientist, but the line in Star Wars (paraphrased) "I made the (something) run in 12 parsecs" bugged the crap out of me.

A PARSEC IS A MEASURE OF LENGTH NOT TIME!

Now, since I'm not a rocket scientist, and haven't seen the movie in quite some time, I probably got this all wrong!

Yay! Someone quoted me!

Oh and I still stand by that too. For all you skeptics out there, the scientific literature now states that legolas is indeed the sexiest guy out there. Peer review has shown the same, all the evidence points in that direction.

Yeah, that one is a biggie. It's been explained a lot of different ways. Lucas said he did it on purpose to show that Han Solo really didn't know what he was talking about; I don't think that holds water. The most creative explanation comes from the Star Wars novels. The Kessel Run was supposed to be a region of space that was severly warped by the presence of several black holes. So the Kessel Run is the best plotted course through that region of space.

Problem is, Han was bragging about the speed of his ship...not his skills as a navigator.

It's worse. By definition, if they used whatever they feed the humans, to power the machine, it would be more efficient.
This was the moment when the disbelief fell to the floor, and all chances of me doing anything other than hate this move flew out the window!
