I tend to avoid discussing the non-existant God (I mean, what can you say? He's one of my favorite fictional characters.) I post more on church-state separation and general social questions, and somehow got involved in the debates on BC&A. And I've been on the board since it started. You, on the other hand, just keep repeating a few themes. You think that there is something to prophecy, but you can't explain what. You can't produce a logical argument to support your fascination with prophecy. So either you don't understand how logical arguments are constructed, or you are not telling us the full story behind why you believe what you believe. |

If the person chooses Christianity because of a businesslike consideration such as Pascal's Wager, then yes, he would indeed be less of a person in my eyes. If, however, he chooses Christianity because it's the religion that makes him feel best, then he would be even more of a person in my eyes. (though I pity him for now thinking the majority of mankind is hellbound. That is a loss).

I think less of his intelligence and his ability to reason logically. But that does not necessarily mean I think less of him as a person. Depends what other qualities he has.

How do you define "christianity", not a canned response or a response of memorized doctrine, but your own concept and words. Wolf |
