The vast majority of the UK population are against it, and if there were to be military action against Iraq - without proof of the weapons of mass destruction - it would definitely be the end of Blair as Prime Minister.

Every opinion poll in the UK of late on this issue shows massive opposition to war, and it's getting stronger day by day, even within Blair's own party.

Is something similar happening in the US? I certainly hope so.

It's really hard to tell, Martin.

Yesterday thousands were in the streets of L.A. protesting war against Iraq. Martin Sheen was there pushing a Viet Nam vet in a wheel chair. It was great..

Shouldn't this be in the Political forum?

Anyway I don't think there will be any real massive antiwar movement here. The same people who believe the bible are generally the nationalists and warmongers. The chicken hawks are the ones that really piss me off. Most of them declined to go to Vietnam, but are doing such a great job of rattling the saber now that they are too old to go to war.

Well, what I think Abe & Dave are saying is that if Bush actually goes through with this war, his chances of getting re-elected are going to plummet. Just like his dad. Get it?

I like that poem. One can only hope that history will repeat itself and junior will meet the same fate as his daddy.

The Bush approval rating has dropped quite a bit this month. There are many, many Americans who are against the impending war with Iraq. We're not all ditto heads.
