"The dread of something after death, -
The undiscover'd country, from whose bourn No traveller returns, - puzzles the will And makes us rather bear those ills we have than fly to others we know not of" The silver night sky is crying tonight her tears are all over my windshield... MadMordigan was an enigma to most, obvious to few, and inescapable for all. I really hope he knew he was my friend...that's right, man - "No bullshit". |

In MadMordigan's memory, I just want to thank everyone who is a part of this community. I don't post a whole lot here, but I do a lot of reading and soul-searching, and have really come to feel as if I belong here. Sometimes I forget that the display names I have become so familiar with seeing every day belong to actual people, living their own lives out in the "real" world. Although I don't know you personally, your words, and Steven McCormick's, have made a great impact on my life. I never imagined that I could become so emotionally involved with the lives of complete strangers. Although MadMordigan is no longer with us, I am glad to have shared his presence on these boards and am extremely thankful to everyone who contributes here.
With love, Megan |

Soon after he posted that on November the 21st I started a thread based on that kind of idea: The morality of suicide in the terminally ill vs. others... Part of the thread explored the idea of people being able to choose to die - regardless of their medical condition... Hopefully I didn't encourage him... later in that thread I said that I think young healthy people should be prevented from killing themselves though... (since depression can be treated somewhat successfully if people work at it, etc) Sorry I'm so detached about this... I'm just not very opposed to suicide a lot of the time... I guess that is a bad thing though since it could encourage others to die early and cause us grief, etc. When I think about MadMordigan, I am reminded about how jealous I was sometimes about how charming he could be to women... I can't help but be curious about all the details about his life story and how he died, etc... but I guess that is pretty insensitive... |

Ah, shit. Mad was one of the most entertaining, witty, intelligent posters on the IIDB. His posts cracked me up as often as they made me stop and think hard about things. I really loved his no-bullshit attitude.
*takes off hat to Mad Mordigan one last time* |

Seeing his posts was one of the reasons I decided to stop lurking and actually join the board.
This stinks. Rob aka Mediancat |
