shamon: Why are scientific and religious values our only options? What about our innate humans values? What needs to be programmed anyway? Our innate morality is already correct. If you feel shame about spending so much time on the Internet, then don’t spend so much time on the Internet. The shame you feel is correct, so why second guess it?
Nonsense, shamon. You can look around and see that people learn what to value as good or bad. People can learn to think beating a loved one is good or that wearing a certain color is bad. The can think putting meat and dairy products on the same plate is bad or that certain cleaning rituals are good. Value judgements are definitely not innate.

And where do you get the idea that "The shame you feel is correct" is a true statement? Correct for what? It's only correct in light of other qualifying stipulations. In some cases, feeling shame for spending time on the internet at the expense of time with the family would be "incorrect" ( I think a better term would be "inappropriate").
