I'm in the third hour of writing my Sociology essay. I'm trying to find the name, and an article, of the Republican Senator who left office because it was becoming to aligned with the Christian Coalition. I know I've read this somewhere and it's driving me crazy. Thanks

I seem to remember that this took place in the early 90's. I could be wrong though. My brain is turning to mush right now.

You know if someone actually left office completely because the republican party was too alligned with the christian coalition, I really think I, or at least someone, would remember it. That would really be huge news.
I wonder if any senator has resigned in US history simply because he disagreed with his fellows? Changing parties, yes. But I don't know about resigning. |
