It's true! Stephen Baxter's latest novel, "Evolution," is essentially a dramatization of humanity's evolution, from the primates scurrying beneath the dinosaurs' feet up into the remote future. And it's a fascinating read! I'm only about halfway through it right now. Has anyone else picked up this book?

Er... alright.
How does he deal with the lack of any actual characters, then? |

Oh, he has characters -- they're just, for the most part, not homo sapiens.
