Being all-knowing, wouldn't that make him God? No wonder he's in the Whitehouse. I hope that doesn't mean Washington, DC is heaven.

This is basically a pop topic, but it might get more play in Politics.

Wasn't there an election a couple of years ago? You know, that thing where all the voters who actually care one way or the other go and indicate who they want to be president?

We've had those things for ages. Surely democracy has made its way to the US by now?

Er, you are a free country, right? Government for the people, by the people, and all that stuff Americans keep telling us we should get soon, possibly with US bombs if we're not quick enough?

Oh, sure, there were rules for when the vote count turns out to be a bit close in one state, and rumours that the US is so full of stupid people that they don't vote if their preferred candidate has already won in another state, but there can't be too many idiots like that, can there?

One more point: wander around the US and ask everyone who was eligable to vote in that election a simple question: "did you vote for anyone other than Bush?" You'll find large numbers of people who acted as if they thought "Bush for president? Doesn't worry me at all."

Elected? Check out the "Had Enough Spin Yet?" thread. Skim through til you see the posts about the illegal coup in 2000.

To understand what Bush believes would take a higher degree in abnormal Psychology. I really do not believe that duhw is intellectual deficient (probably mildly above average). Having had all his heart desired handed to him on a silver platter, has probably encouraged intellectual laziness.

As a sociopathic personality his self centered ego is incapable of empathy. Sure he knows that his economic policies hurt most members of society but shit it helps him and his. Knowledge of biology isn't of import what ever he says is calculated to serve his own interests.

I'd be really interested in seeing his transcripts; I have far to many irons in the fire to launch a likely futile search.

I don't know how much it helps.
http://abcnews.go.com/sections/us/Da...cuts010318.htm
In March...
"The Democrats' new confidence is bolstered by a Newsweek poll showing that, despite the president's efforts to sell the country on his tax proposal, over the last five weeks public support for the Bush tax cut has dropped from 67 to 55 percent. "

http://asia.reuters.com/newsArticle....toryID=2723929
Last week...
"The latest Gallup Poll showed 52 percent of Americans now supported tax cuts as a "good idea," up from 42 percent two weeks earlier. "

If he can only muster up 1/2 in the polls to start with, imagine what the numbers will be next year after he misses his mark of a million jobs by at least a million.

I meant they gain economically. It be nice if this Ship of Fools weren't also blind but with media's siren songs, Ulysses may yet be bound for the rocks.

The number of subjects in which GW is ignorant is vast.

History
Geography
Politics
Biology
Reading
Writing
Adding
(Not subtracting)
Multiplying
(NOT dividing he seems to have divided us from the whole world)
English
Spanish
French
German
Russian
Korean
Arabic
Archeology
Diplomacy
Elocution
Tolerance
Patience
Loving-kindness
Charitableness
Humility
Shame

Every subject, in fact, except ego and Jim Beam.
