There is a good possibility he didn't exist. If he did exist, he may have been misquoted.

Laci, I'll try and address your questions.

Why are there so many Atheists on this forum.
This is the Internet Infidels Discussion Forum.

See definition of infidel here:

Because Atheists tend to like to mock Jesus
We only mock Jesus when you throw him in our faces...When we are told we are going to burn in hell because we don't believe as you believe. Read the OT prophecies that are used to justify Jesus as the suffering servant messiah. Then read the other prophecies about the "real" messiah. You'll soon see a huge discrepancy.
This is why a second coming had to be invented. Note the word 'invented'. You, too, would mock a man who claims to be Yaweh but isn't willing to provide proof. "Blessed is he who believes without seeing..." he says--because if you saw, you wouldn't believe at all.
Christianity constantly belittes men, making them ravenous, evil monsters with no ability to decide right from wrong themselves. If we strictly derived our morality from biblical sources, most of America would be stoned. According to Paul, our founding fathers and anyone who supported them would be evil for challenging the colonialist ruler whom Yaweh "installed".
There's too much more to say here. I suggest reading more on the board for more enlightenment. Read with an open mind, be objective, and don't be afraid to question the "truth" as you know it.

and Atheists also like to bash the president.
Atheists are most definitely not alone here. Most of the world bashes our president and his posse's politics. More and more people in the US are starting to question him as well. Him being Christian is the least of my concerns, him starting a war under false pretenses in order to further his political/financial agenda, amounts to murder...and that concerns me greatly. Look past his Xstianity to see the man hiding behind the cross.
There could easily be an entire forum dedicated to the reasons Bush is constantly bashed.

Is this a common denominator for Atheists?
A common denominator for atheists is not being afraid to speak our minds and the willingness to question.
If we had a president who was an atheist and he/she behaved as immorally as Bush, I would write just as many letters to my congressman/senator expressing my disdain (strong word...I know...) at the way our leadership was behaving.

Default Special Guest Post from SusieFer a/k/a Mrs. Doubtmonger

Don't know about psychotic, but:

(1) Jesus let others inflict pain on him to get attention, approval, adoration and allegiance ...

(2) His dad let it happen to get same ...

Bingo! Passive Munchausen's Syndrome and Munchausen's Syndrome by Proxy!
