I'd be very grateful for the Bible reference to the flat Earth. It'll come in handy with a JW that I work with.
Incidentally, what do you get when cross a Jehovah's Witness with a Hell's Angel? Someone who knocks on your door and tells you to fuck off! |

I have found, at times, when people get angry, upset, or mad, it's because they are truly stumped. Some will go and drive whatever stumped them out of their mind but some will also think about what you said.
If I had one of those types knock on my door, I'd invite him in. A time to "discuss" and "share". If they feel the need to talk about their beliefs, I'd be certainly happy to share my beliefs with them. And if that means they sometimes leave a bit upset...then so be it. But maybe their eyes would be opened to another perspective which is never bad. Grand Ol Designer |

Could you give me the scripture reference for the verse on the flat earth, please? I am trying to load up on defensive ammo. Thanks.

Isaiah 40:22 [It is] he that sitteth upon the circle of the earth, and the inhabitants thereof [are] as grasshoppers; that stretcheth out the heavens as a curtain, and spreadeth them out as a tent to dwell in
There are also several that mention the four corners of the earth, but they sound more metaphorical than literal. Of course, that's what the JWs are going to say about this one, so don't bother using it. I prefer this one. Instead of a flat Earth, you have the sun revolving around the Earth, and it's not something you can cry metaphor over. Joshua 10:13 And the sun stood still, and the moon stayed, until the people had avenged themselves upon their enemies. [Is] not this written in the book of Jasher? So the sun stood still in the midst of heaven, and hasted not to go down about a whole day. |

Off topic, but when you say "troll" do you mean (v) to propell your boat slowly, while fishing, or (n) a monster, who lives under a bridge and devours passers by? I've seen that term used many times, but I can't quite tell which usage is being invoked.

A bit of both, I believe.
