Talking Meet Chalinda (my new kitten)

I actually got her a month ago...some of you know this because I mentioned it in chat. But I held off posting about it here because I didn't have any pictures of her...so I borrowed my boss's digital camera, and here we are!

A customer at my mother's store brought her in after her son had found her in the high school parking lot and didn't want her getting run over. When my mother brought her home, I immediately thought it was a bad idea, as we had lost a cat to cancer a few months back and I thought it was too soon, but I held the kitten and she immediately started purring. I was immediately in love.

Of course, being a kitten, she's pure energy sometimes. A couple of times she's gotten up on my computer desk and attempted to get at the mouse cursor.

Chalinda means "sweet girl" in the OT language of the Wheel of Time series.

dude, she blends right into the couch!

still, i must say, a very cute kitten. there's nothing like a purring kitten to instantly reduce stress.

Gorgeous cat, Daggah! I'm glad you found her. Beautiful name, too.

Camouflage kitty! I have one like that -- she matches the desert so much (very difficult to see her when she is out in the backyard) I named her Mojave.

Awwww! She's beautiful! And probably going to get even prettier as she grows up.

Default How Sweet!

She very much looks like my beloved "Miss Too"...a dumped kitty who adopted us. Life is always so much better with a cat in it.

Tortiseshell cats are so beautiful.

(According to legend, they tend to have a lot of attitude, too.)

Congratulations.
