Hahaha, I'm researching Constantine's conversion of the Roman Empire, and I have only one thing to say to that... talk about selective reasoning!

It's 100% true that Constantine associated the Christian God with a generic sun god. But the sun god was not Venus, nor Mary; it was Apollo. Also, at the time the Catholic church was the ONLY non-paganised form of Christiantiy; Mr. Chick forgot that Protestantism hadn't been invented yet. The story gets sillier after that point, but I won't bother because I'm preaching to the choir.

Chick is much more entertaining once you know your ancient history

as a student of history i would like to point out that the Bible in the its current state was compiled BY THE CHURCH, the traditions are older than the complete book. It seems strange to call the compilers of the book heretics for not having biblical justification for everything. What other things are not in the bible . . . . laughter, airplanes, cars, democracy, capitolism . . . . i am sure all of these are evil as well

No, no! You forget, the Protestant Reformation as just a resurgance of True Chrsitianity, whose followers had been hiding up in the mountains with the True Bible (convieniently identical to the KJV) all that time.
