19/19, score!!!

But I'm with you guys and have a BA in math, and currently am a grad student. So whatever.

Is everyone here a mathematician?

I didn't have to do a lot of that stuff until I was in high school, and I've been educated nowhere but Illinois (admittedly not the suburbs).

Oh well, at the rate we're accelerating math education we may still beat them Ruskies to the moon!

Mathematicians and associated number-geeks are the ones who voluntarily take math tests, I guess.

The most interesting thing is how they were able to predict HOW I would screw up two of the questions, and supply an answer in the list of choices that corresponded to my crappy math skills.

It's a-squared PLUS b-squared equals c-squared, damn it!

But all in all, not bad, considering I failed my Algebra 11 and haven't taken a math course since....

I got 6/19 and two of those were lucky guesses. Numbers are not my friends. I have to remember phone numbers by the shape they make on the keypad, I frequently get dates and times mixed up and I can never count correct change when buying things.

I was pretty good at algebra in school but only when they let me use a calculator, though.

19/19 and I don't even have a degree in mathematics.

I'm a year away from one!

No, never took a math class after high school, never took calc either. But I do seem to be able to do sums in my head pretty well, and that (plus remembering a couple of tricks like pi*r^2) is all this test required. Despite always considering myself an "English guy" rather than a "math guy," I scored 10 points higher on my math SATs...

14/19 - not bad for a former Math minor . Seriously though, I got lazy halfway through and just started guessing. I never did have much patience for math.

19/19. My B.Sci. is in math & computer science, but if I hadn't tutored remedial algebra my freshman year I would have bombed this quiz.
