I think that celebrities, who enjoy tremendous success, tend to think that people actually love them and not their work.

What was the name of that Penn/Madonna movie in the 80's?

I am one of the six people who have seen Gigli who weren't in it. My advice is to rent it, fast forward to Christopher Walken's seen, fast forward to Al Pacino's scene, rewind and watch Pacino's scene again, and then burn the tape.

Woah, I heard about this one on NPR's "Wait Wait, Don't Tell Me", and all the flap this movie took.

If that turkey comment is actually in the movie, the should never let this Brest guy direct or write a movie again.

According to imdb, Martin Brest last wrote a movie in 1979. That should have been a clue to not allow him to write.

The scary thing is that he directed two great movies: "Scent of a Woman" "Meet Joe Black"

I simply don't get it though, why let him write something after 20 years?

Point taken (his Kevin Smith oevre aside).

2) Has Hispanic/White romance. Inter-racial romances are loathed in general, when a white person is involved. It was alright for Lopez to see Puffy, but not the white guy.
You know, Affleck himself actually came otu and said he thought the reason they were getting so much attention was because of the interracial aspect.

Funnily enough, I actually mentioned this to a couple of people I know, and the reaction was uniformly "They are?" accompanied by a blank, confused stare. That doesn't really prove anything, but I did think it was funny.

But to be fair, I'd like to point out that Salma Hayek and Ed Norton didn't get nearly this much attention, nor did John Leguizamo, who recently married a non-Hispanic woman. I think Jennifer Lopez's serial marriages and supposedly gargantuan ego are bigger factors than her race. (Although yes, media portrayals of interracial couples are definitely problematic.)

How can they possibly make a worst movies list and not include Jason X or Dolemite?

Ben Affleck was also in Saving Private Ryan- that movie didn't suck. And since we're giving a nod for his Kevin Smith films, I thought Affleck was hilarious in Jay and Silent Bob Strike Back...

Are you kidding me? Dogma was great because of script writing and the other actors. Affleck may have had his name high in the title, but he wasn't on screen the whole time.
