No, I think women respond to the social aspects of religion, think of all the cultures you know, where religious orgs are populated by women but led by men. Believing for women is a social act, for men, an intellectual commitment. Gross generalization, of course.....

I would think the lower levels of belief among white males with impressive degrees after their names could be explained by a tendency among those for whom the world is their oyster to prefer to think they owe their position to hard work and brains rather than to Providence.
