Interesting development from NASA about detecting life by using compression to look for greater redundancy in images.

This is very interesting.
Im sure I have seen data compression used to analyse a number of disparate things before. Im pretty sure it has been used on the comparison of DNA sequences and the detection of steganographic messages at least. |
