Z,

Please tell us why God disapproves of rape as xeren is asking.

What's wrong Zentraedi, cognitive dissonance?

Lol. I had to leave. Why can't anyone have time to think anyway? Is thinking deterred from? Do I have a clock?

To answer... Why would atheist think of disapproving of rape without anti-rape societies(christian among others) guiding the way?

You said behavior is controlled by instinct which is far from true. That would be like saying we were like butter flies or ants. I did not say behavior is not influenced by instinct in human beings.

You don't know if it is imaginary or not.

He is our side conversation--------

Zentraedi: Getting morals from nature would tell you to act as animals do. I don't like how the rest of the animals act.

Hawkingfan:That is where we must agree to disagree. Atheists generally like how animals act.

Zentraedi: Again speak for yourself. Not many people go around raping, stealing, and killing as animals do.

Hawkingfan: A lot of people go around raping, stealing, and killing. Many of them Christians.

Zentraedi: So what? Does this help your arguement? I think not.

Hawkingfan: I think it helps my point very well. To me, there is no difference between the way apes live and the way humans live (even the Christians). We are all apart of nature. We do what comes natural.

Zentraedi's conclusion of your statements:

So you saying atheists like how animals act because they rape, kill, and steal?

I don't understand why you would hold this behavior against animals. You see, animals do not have the luxury of shopping in supermarkets or dining at restaraunts. If they want to eat, they need to kill something. Animals need to eat in order to survive. They must also defend themselves. Rarely have I seen an animal kill without good reason to.
And rape? How do you know when an animal has been raped? Did they tell you? Write you a letter? I have never seen a documentary where the guide will point and say, "See those lions over there raping each other..." Do you want them to go on dates? Listen to Barry Manilow? Give each other flowers and chocolates?
And rarely have I seen animals steal without good reason to. I wouldn't even call it stealing. I certainly wouldn't say humans behave any better. Much worse if you ask me. Often times, I see animals sharing.

That is where we must agree to disagree again. I feel we are no different than animals. We are animals. Except for the fact that animals probably do not have a concept of god (man, I'm jealous).

No, this is one of the few places thinking is encouraged, but when you are posting every 5 minutes, and then you suddenly stop with a question you avoided answering before...people start to get suspicious.

NO NO NO, you, for the second time, avoided actually answering my question, so I'll help you out. You can pick from among the options and if you think of another option feel free to present it.

God dissaproves of rape because it hurts the victim, it violates the victims rights, and generally makes society less stable.

OR

Rape is wrong because god dissaproves of rape.

Please choose one or come up with a similar answer, that ACTUALLY spells out why god would dissapprove of rape.

I am going to make some final points and leave (yeah!) because this conversation has grown tired. And so I will let you have the last word. As far as animals being violent: Nonhuman animals have more reason to fear man than man has to fear of animals. When an animal is being threatened, its first instinct is to flee.
Also, I'm going to pretend I am setting up laws for a new society and base them on some really wonderful Christian laws:
Let's see. How about rule number 1: NO WITCHCRAFT-- Anyone ACCUSED of witchraft will be sent to prison without a fair trial. Let's see if we can beat the old Salem record of 500 witches!! Oh yeah, and here-say will be allowed as evidence. Makes it a little easier, you know. Also, if we ever come across a situation where we're not sure if we're dealing with a witch, we can use the same way to determine a witch the good old boys used--throw them in the river. If they swim away, it's by witchcraft, if they drown then we knew they really were a witch!! It's God's way of telling us! Whew!!! Thought I would have to use my brain! Get the gallows ready! I'm AFRAID of witches! Yuck!
Let's see. Rule#2: Hey, the Bible says it's ok to have slaves!!! And slaves should obey their earthly masters!! Are you writing this down in the law book? Get those boats ready! It's off to Africa again!!
Boy, those forefathers sure had a great way of life!! I guess I can't say so for the Africans, but who cares? They're only 3/4 of a man anyway, says so here in this law!!
Let's see. Fabulous Christian law #3: Heathens cannot be allowed to live! I'm sure glad Andrew Jackson platformed for this and that it help him get elected into office for this. He promised to exterminate the Indians!! And what a good job he did! He had some help from his good buddy Sam Houston, too. I just love those guys. Can't have non-christians sharing our land.
What, you say? Civil rights? Nope. Not Christian. What are you in the ACLU? I hate the sixties. They changed so many of our wonderful Christian laws during that time.
Oh yeah! Law#4: Homosexuals will be thrown in jail again! Just like many years ago before the liberal invasion. Got to keep the word of God!...
Bye!
