signupforpeace.com is primarily a website that allows people around the world to make concrete their
wish to see world peace. for many people this wish and vision has not really found anywhere to
materialise. hopefully, through the peace petition, we can provide this.

this website was created so as to create a network of individuals committed to peace.

furthermore, it is without bias, we neither support the Israelis, nor do we support the Palestinians, we
niether favour the Pakistanis in their quest for Kashmir, nor the Indians. however, we will always support
the use of negotiation and non-violence in the search for a solution. we feel it is irrelevant to get
involved in arguments of right and wrong, for if one turns to violence it matters little who is right or
wrong - suffering will be inevitable.

we acknowledge that there is much ignorance and denial of the consequences of wars and conflict, and
we hope to inform through the website. if anything this website stands as a resource for awareness, over
the last few years the globe seems to have become increasingly violent and terror-stricken. it has never
been as important as now to acknowledge that to find true global peace, each one of us has to do our
part. the petition stands as a testamant to your commitment to those goals of non-vioence and peace.
even if you were to do little after signing the petition, your signature and admission of support pushes us
a little step further toward our project of awareness.

the peace petition may be displayed occasionally where it is felt necessary, but it will always rest here at
the website as a strong illustration of the millions of people around the world who support, encourage
and live for peace.

we hope you find this website interesting and value the concept. this is merely the beginning. we hope
that you will help guide the direction this website takes.
