the fact that power cannot negate a logical impossibility (the existence of square circles) is proof of what I had said- that they are distinct philisophical categories.

Yet power and logic are not "unrelated", because it might be said that God uses His power in a logical fashion.
Alright. The fact that they are "unrelated" philosophically does not negate that power is mandated by logic. I think you agree that there can be no power which logically contradicts itself. With this given, I fail to see how your objection has relevence to my argument.

DaveJes is not inclined to disprove any other Gods. He is only inclined to believe in his own.
He believes in the monotheistic (tritheistic if you choose to count the trinity as three distinct persons) God of Christian (and mostly Judaic) tradition. This tradition mentions explicitly that the God-identity portrayed in the Bible is the only God-identity permitted. Therefore, if people conceive of other God-identities (Allah, IPU, etc.), these are a direct challenge to his faith (assuming, I hope not unjustifiably, that he is a Bible-believer). So yes, he would be inclined to show, in logical terms, that these other God-identities are fraudulent, even if he already "knows" this from his faith.

With his own personal faith and reasons, he has proof enough to believe in his particular Christian God.
The more power to him.
Quote:
Allah IS the same God, but is personified differently, according to Muslims.
If it is the same God, why does he purposefully breed faith-challenging confusion. If you were a father, would you give one of your children (assuming there are no special cases for these children) a different set of rules to follow than another?
Quote:
Nevertheless, suppose there is a distinct "muslim" God. He has no reason to delve into Islam to learn of another God. He himself believes in Monotheism. He himself prefers his own God. He finds his God logical. More importantly, he has reason and proof of his God, since he only believes in one God, he has no business to consider any other Gods, if the God he requires is already sufficing.
Well fine. He can believe something all he wants, but if you want to debate with nonbelievers, you damn well better be able to back up those beliefs. Show us why Allah is wrong, and Jehovah is right. And, if you carry the logical extention of this, nobody should rationally examine their beliefs, or consider any other beliefs, because they already believe what they do and this is sufficient for them. Total closed-mindedness.
