I just have a quick question.
I've read that many socialists, communists, and political scientists don't consider China, N. Korea, the former USSR & Eastern bloc, and so on to be true communist or socialist states and are rather dictatorships over the workers by a ruling class (Stalinism was the term, IIRC). Is this true? PS: Please no replies from extremely anti-communist/socialist people (if they exist on this board), 'cause I don't want to risk getting an highly anti-red slanted response. Neutrals and pro-red people only need reply. Thanks. |

Yes.
Pretty much the same way that there are no true capitalist societies either, neither extreme will work in practice. Amen-Moses |

Socialism is a different matter. Canada has a Socialistic/Capitalist economic system. |

That says a lot to me about how communist the "communist" party is. Note, also, that they were *NEVER* morally communist. It was simply the way to a better life. |
