Evil suggestion: Write a brag book about a wild night of sex with a hot chick, title it "She Said Yes".

Hypothetically, even if she did say yes, did g/God intervene and stop the bullet? No. What's all the fuss about?

!8ball If she would have answered no, would he have killed her anyway? Most likely.

I think that it's pretty disgusting to see how the fundies are exploiting this tragedy for political gain. The "She said yes" crap is bad enough, but now one of the survivors and his fundy father are touring the country talking about the need for school prayer and the ten commandments. They were on Oprah last week, and yesterday they were on one of the other channels too. It's pathetic.

It actually makes her story more valuable to the fundies- or whoever else is telling it- that God didn't stop the bullet. After all, if he existed to stop the bullet in the first place, and had, she wouldn't be a martyr. And martyrs make awfully good political fodder.

Sorry. Just a blast of unrestrained cynicism there.

"It was just her time. God needed to call her back, that's why the prayers didn't work: God had better plans for her. He needed her in heaven."

I'm assuming that's the stock response you would get if asking why prayers apparently didn't work. It's a no lose situation for Christians, because either way God is in charge. Repent, sinners.
