Default Don't blow it, Kelly...don't blow it.

She's wonderful. She's 28, she is even more into outdoorsy stuff than I am (she has 4 tents, for Pete's sake), and she's even an atheist!

We first met when I went out after a hash house harriers run, to see a great local R&B band. I told her I wanted to dance with her, since she had such an adorable smile. After a few fast dances, we had the best, most romantic slow dance I've ever had. I was smitten. But she didn't give me her phone number that night....

Fast forward 3 weeks, and the post-hash run activity is once again to go see the same R&B band, and there she was! Some more wonderful dancing, and that time I left with her phone number and email.

So far we're just keeping it on a friends-only basis, which is just fine with me. We've gone for a hike with Gooch, and last Sunday went for a casual dinner and then to see the movie Assassination Tango. She's quite busy with grad school, so we don't have a lot of time to see each other, but in the next week or two we'll take her canoe out for a paddle on one of the Madison lakes.

This could be good...this could be very good. We get along so well, and that isn't just my version--she said the same thing. I sure hope she doesn't mind that I'm 13 years her senior, but she has friends who are couples with similar age differences.

I can hardly believe I was lucky enough to meet someone like her!

Woo-hoooooo Kelly!!! That's awesome. Speaking as someone who was in the not-too-distant-past in the late 20's-age-range myself, I must say that such an age difference is quite neglibible in light of your being such a, well, great catch!!! I know plenty of 25-35 year-old men who don't even come CLOSE to you in terms of intelligence, enthusiasm and ever-important "joi de vivre" (not to mention the fact that you are a hottie!)

Keep us posted!!!

Sounds like the start of something wonderful.

How far is she from finishing grad school? I don't want to spoil the euphoria, but she might want to finish up before she starts anything serious.
