Why is that some people can't accept that not everyone's experience mirrors their own (negative) experiences? Sheesh.

Dude, we don't have to make the case...they sell it by the case already.

Don't you get out?

Bah, I didn't feel like reading through the rest of the post, but still feel like post slutting or otherwise postponing studying for physics and waiting 50 minutes before I have to perform my Rollenspiel.

Wine tastes good.
Wine accentuates foods.
Wine, taken in moderation produces a happy feeling, along with tasting good and accentuating foods.
I like the taste of wine, how it accentuates foods, and the fact that when taken in moderation it produces a happy feeling, along with tasting good and accentuating foods. Therefore, I drink wine.

I also drink screwdrivers and Long Islands, but that's just because those taste good and can be a nice way to relax with friends, or occasionally, get plastered. I don't think they accentuate foods.

Thumbs up

Well put, Loki.

I would say the same for beer as well. Just the right beer with different types of foods makes all the difference!!!

I fucking hate alcohol! I hate the way it smells. The way Its tastes. And, most of all, the effects it has on peoples behavior.

Although i'm highly biased, seeing as in how I've alway had to put up with my family's drunkenness. It always sickened me.

Can't handle your life, not satisfied: Get drunk so you don't have to think about it. Crutch. Can't fix you shitty life because your busy being drunk.

Thanks COAS!

I haven't quite acuired a taste for beer the same way I have for wine, but that might be because I live in America and it's a bit difficult for a minor to come across decent beer (read, not yellow american piss water). I had some beer while in Germany, and it was pretty good. Any suggestions on food beer combos?

Hi Loki,

At one of our local breweries (in fact we just had our SoCal meetup there) I like a pizza (bbq chicken...mmm...) with a pale ale on the dry-n-hoppy side.

A darker, heavier beer (stout and the like) goes well with a "heavier" meal like steak, etc....

And Mexican food just requires either Negra Modelo (a darker lager) or Corona or the like (lighter and slightly sweet lager) depending on the menu.

All a matter of personal taste of course but it's fun to experiment!

(Oh, and going to a baseball game is not the same without a hot dog in one hand a Newcastle in the other. )
