Default Penny Arcade washes the cat....

Hah! Gabe has to bathe the cat, and has a few words to say about it...

"I have never tried to give a cat a bath before so I sat down and read the instructions on the shampoo bottle. Wet cat it said, then work shampoo into a lustrous lather and rinse. What the bottle didnt say is that as soon as your cat gets the first tiny droplet of water on its paw the situation changes dramatically. No longer are you trying to give your cherished pet a bath to rid it of the fleas that are driving it crazy. No, now you are trying to wash an angry, furry chipper shredder that is howling like an air raid siren. "

Penny Arcade... scroll down to the bottom entry.

lol that is a good way to describe it... I've seen my cat cling to the tile walls of our bathroom during a bath... fractious cats are hours of fun... plus I get nice bloody claw marks down my arms... the loss of blood makes me feel all happy... *grins* nah... some cats are better than others... one of my cats is so easy to bathe and the other two... pure evil...
Penny Arcade is pretty cool.

I've found cats are helpless against a carefully applied half-nelson [if it catches the legs as well]. But you have to be VERY careful not to apply too much pressure in order not to hurt them. It's either that or restraining their paws in a bundle, but this is almost impossible to do [in my experience] without it being hard enough to hurt them. I love cats and wish there was a trauma-free way to clean them... but I can't think of one off the top of my head.

Oh yeah, and PA rules! :notworthy

I know how to restrain a cat, I groomed professionally a few years back... but some cats (namely my Holly) seem to be able to wiggle out of your grasp very easily... or maybe subconsciously I don't want to hurt her and hold less tight than I should be... *shrugs* Anyway... ^_^

The last time I bathed my Electra, she was a tiny kitten. I think she said the "F" word. Several times. She must have picked that language up at the pound, as she most certainly never heard it from me... *ahem*

The worst part, though, was when she quit struggling, got very quiet, and just shivered. I felt like the lowest of the low... the vilest creature on earth.

I believe her status as "head of household" was established in that very moment as I never dared to oppose her will again.
