Amie... I believe she was responding to my last sentence leaving out the introduction which then also leaves out the most important part of what I was expressing. You were challenged to " describe God". My argument was that if we cannot describe the infinitly small or big, one may expect some limitations to the human brain describing the physical aspect of God. Oh well...

what does that have to do with my statement of not having to justify reasons for participating on this forum?

Hello, Amie!

It seems to me in order to *not* believe in God it must take some level of definition and understanding of what it is you *don't* believe in otherwise your position would be neutral (not a belief, not a non belief)
Like you, I was raised in the Catholic Church so I think we can safely assume you and I have the same definition of God. But others are correct when they say many people have different definitions of God. One atheist once told me his brother was a minister. He said he often debated the existance of God with his brother and that his brother would just keep generalizing the definition of God until God was basically synonimous with the Universe and that anyone would have agree it existed.

Got me thinking. What would you require to have a God belief? I am thinking it would be a subjective experience for you. However this leads to my next question.
Actually, I find the entire concept of God to be as ridiculous as the idea of Santa Claus or the Greek Gods. The entire idea of God just feels wrong on every level. I could give you hundreds of arguments of why but to me it seems so self evident that if I have to stop and explain it then we'd never agree.

IMO nothing whatsoever.. you posted a very sincere question in your Op and overall got some interesting answers. Sometime people say things for the fun of getting the last word. Of course face to face it would be a bit different.... cyber communication is not always productive.

If you wish to not talk about the subject, why the hell would you start or participate in topics about that subject? Just to waste everyones time? To stir things up? I honestly cannot comprehend it.

When you start a debate, and then attempt to "take your toys and go home" everytime you start to lose, you reveal your true colors.

DNFTT, people.

please show me where I have said I do not want to talk about the subject!?
I am not going to get into another atheist vs. theist pissing contest, this is silly.

First you say no God, now you say No Santa! damn you Aerion!!!
whats this world coming to?!

in all seriousness I do agree that the definitions of God are abundant. If I had no concept of God and then I asked 30 different people about what God was, I would be confused to say the least.
