so my boyz and i are walkin down tha' street today and this woman comes up and gives us these pamplets about jesus and god and stuff and started asking if we had found jesus and pushing her religion on us.

we told her we were satanists and we knew a lot about god...she looked really sad when we started laughing our asses off

i feel kind of bad...but not really, cuz she was really rude.


what do u do when wierdos give u pamplets and stuff?

Politely ask them for more, as many as they can give me, whole boxes if they will, and walk away smiling carrying my booty.

Read one of each of 'em for laughs.

Then toss the lot into the recycle bin at work. My good deed for the day - saved a few unwary people from poisoning their minds and helped the environment.

Were they Chick Tracts? I always feel a small glow in the recesses of my blackened god-hating heart when I find a Chick Tract, they're so much fun! I have a small collection, which is growing, but not very quickly. =(

Hmm, I think I would handle this differently. You don't want to further perpetuate the myth that atheists are in fact devil worshippers, or god-haters. How can we hate something that does not exist?
Well, what you consider rude, she considers a kindness. I say overwhelm them with kindness right back. Destroy the pervasive image of atheists as evil, immoral people who do not know how to love fellow humans. That will do more to harm their cause than anything else you can imagine.

I'm usually really good at avoiding eye contact with people who want to sell me stuff or give me stuff or get me to play those damn games at the carnival.... *ahem* back on track: on the rare occassion that someone manages to hand me a tract, I simply throw it away in the first trash can I see; and I take particular pleasure in the act if I know the person can see me do it.

That's pretty much my particular response. You usually get them out at events with tons of other people handing you things. So, here come the Jebus freaks with their 'literature' and sometimes you get a warning 'cause others have already gotten them and simply dropped them on the ground. I take a look at them then, and if the things they're handing out look like them, then I don't take 'em.

haha she gave us a warning not to throw it away...unfortunately there werent any trash cans around and i didnt want to litter. maybe she saw us crumple them up tho..
