Default What's up with the Pet Psychic?

Anyone else wonder as to how incredibly retarded this show is and why people believe any of the utter crap spewed forth? Everytime I stumble upon the show, I can hardly believe that anyone so much as LISTENS to this woman's babble! UGH.

I love this show! When I am in the mood to laugh, I tune in. She is just wild. I love how solemn everyone is when she is talking about what the animals are telling her. Just like she's interpreting for someone speaking french or something. My fave was when she was helping out a dog once and she actually got down on her hands and knees like a dog and barked. It was too funny. of course, the people were very solemn as is this is a totally rational and normal thing to do. Even the vet that was there! He musta been a jebus-lover. They tend to believe in these things.

When people start crying though, I stop laughing and just get angry at them for being so gullible. Get over it people!!!!

Like I need a psychic to understand what my dog wants to tell me. 90% of the time its "Feed me!". 6% of the time its "Let me out, quick before I mess the floor!". 2% of the time its "Here comes the FedEx man". 2% of the time its "Look a squirrel, let me at it".

Thumbs up

The other day I caught her show for the first time and, of all people, John Edwards was on with his wife and two dogs getting a 'reading'.

I almost gave birth...ROFLMFAO!!

John Edwards was on her show? I saw her on James Van Praagh (sp?) before. Guess all these psychics know each other and share stories of the bullshit they get people to buy.

Charlatans always validate one another.

Look at "alternative medicine" - how often do you see "modalities" competing?

Rolfers tell you that their technique enhances homeopathy, while homeopaths tell you their methods complement irridology, or some similar crap.

I remember hearing a story of a skeptic who went to a conference on alternative medicine and asked the speaker if his "therapy" was compatible with "moon therapy" (which he made up).

Without missing a beat, the speaker said "oh absolutely. In fact in enhaces the effects of moon therapy...blah blah blah."

There *is* honour among thieves. (If you define 'honour' in such a fashion.)

I've always wanted to go to some function where I could pretend like I believe then laugh in their face when its over.

Though, I've noticed my dog has lots of emotions, she just doesn't 'speak.' How do people believe that she's talking to their dog, WHEN THEY'RE DOG IS SLEEPING ON THE FLOOR.

Another note: We had a guest composer in to speak with us in class and he went on about how some sheep showed his wife a story that had scared the sheep all its life! ...
