AN 18-year-old was in critical condition after jumping from a five-storey building in an apparent imitation of a stunt from the television show Jackass.

The youth was attempting to jump into a pool from the roof of a condominium when he missed, shattering both legs, police said.

Jeez, he's 100% responsible. Unless he's mentally challenged, in which case he should have had better guidance while watching tv and proper supervision. I saw his mom on television going on and on about how it was the media's fault, apparently she didn't even consider he son might have even been partially responsible for purposefully jumping off a 5 story building. I wonder if there'll be any lawsuits now.

Every time I see this I think to myself "ahhh... natural selection at work." If you ask me, we should encourage this.

What!! Natural selection has failed. The kid still lives, ya know.

Anyway, I don't think we should encourage this. In addition to the medical and social costs, he might jump on someone with common sense, and kill them instead.
