you know, thats the thing which really shits me about CF, the sockpuppets and the inherent dishonesty. Totally unchristian i would have thought, but alas, those rules like to twist and writhe like a snake around an apple <or fig if we want to get rid of that small biblical error>. LouisBooth and Outspoken, everyone knows it. And why? So he can spout his homophobic, bigotted, ignorant opinion without compromising his position. For fucks sake, if you want to say something, how about having the balls to actually say it.

I know this is gonna sound dumb, but I actually feel I should defend Louis's "Outspoken" persona. To the best of my knowledge, no effort has EVER been made to hide the connection. Rather, my understanding is that he used an alternative persona to avoid the possibility that people would be afraid to argue with an "admin". Keep in mind, he started the second persona when the CF rules, read literally, forbade arguing with staff - no one meant them that way, but people got worried.

I don't think anyone is unaware of this, and I don't think that the second account has any effect on his ability to remain a staff member while being, IMHO, fairly bigoted. Bigotry is not a disqualifier for moderation, and probably shouldn't be, strictly speaking.

I don't think there's anything particularly sinister in the LouisBooth/Outspoken thing. If there is, it's news to me.
