Big effing deal. If she's saved, death ain't no big thing, so what's to admire?

I don't know which of us you think is in a state of mortal sin, perhaps you think all of us are.

YOU DON'T UNDERSTAND YOUR OWN RELIGION.
To be in a state of mortal sin a person must have full awareness that he/she has done something gravely wrong. The contributors who made jokes about Chango the sky God and Chanbo the land God do not intend to offend any real God. They do not believe in any God. They are making what they believe are harmless jokes.

I repeat to be in a state of mortal sin a person must be fully aware that (he/she) has done something gravely wrong. How can deconversion be mortal sin? People who have deconverted do not see this as wrong. They see it as the only rational way to view reality.
As this discussion shows there are many logical arguments for deconversion.
Your Catholic Church teaches that deconversion is mortal sin. Few people on the Secular Web expect Roman Catholics or other Christians to be logical.
I suspect you would rather ignore this post as you have ignored so many rational arguments on this discussion up to now. Will you be able to?

What will you do next, Gemma Therese? Will you go to one of your priests and tell him what rational things those horrid atheists and agnostics have been saying? What will your priest say? "These things are divine mysteries! Do not allow the atheists to disturb your faith, my child."

Which mortal sin is that? As far as I know, apostasy isn't a mortal sin. Though I did find it interesting that anyone who befriends an apostate is officially excommunicated.

In fact, even more interesting, anyone who reads the writings of an apostate that "labours to undermine the foundations of faith"--which are automagically on the Index (sounds scary, don't it?)--is also excommunicated. Best not tell the Mother Superior, Gemma--you're excommunicated!

But God does. You would oppose the will of God?

Then why are we laughing?

That's awfully sweet of her. Too bad Yahweh isn't as nice, he only died once, and that didn't really save everyone.

It's God's will. You don't need to pray for it; it happens, neh?

Unless, of course, you don't believe God is omnipotent... but that would be heresy, Gemma.

Ah, our resident reader of Thomas Merton and Aquinas returns, not to mention Teresa of Avila

I look forward to many more pointless and meaningless discussions with you Gemma. I take it that your vacation away from the heathens and the godless was a pleasant one? Well, we haven't changed much, we're still all godless sinners bent on hell-fire, so how are you doing?

In Reality,
Samhain

I fail to see the difference if your "God" exists.

Oh, I thought she was talking about how my neck gets stiff when I wake up in the mornings. *shrug* You know how some people just can't handle pain and whatnot.

Unlike Jesus, who was only willing to die once. Even then, he got to come back to life after 36 hours. And his death only avails those who believe. Otherwise, you're screwed.

Exactly whose will would God do if you didn't pray for him to do his will?
