Possibly the most lucid statement offered in this thread.

Atheism is a belief system just like everything else.Think about this for a while and get back to me .I've got to go. Thanks for being good sports. If I can even help one of you think outside your box, then maybe he can do it also for others.peace on all of you
This is getting rather tiresome id.s. What is there to think about? The word atheism is a direct translation from the Greek, it means "without belief in gods" and that's all there is to it. Granted, atheists may subscribe to a belief system but being an atheist doesn't imply subscribing to one rather than another or indeed to any. In your latest PM you suggest mine is 'probably the god of materialism'. Would you care to present your evidence for this? In other words - to remind you of your OP - why do YOU believe? And who is the 'he' you refer to in the quote above. Are you out of YOUR box?

The point is, photons do stuff.

Edited to add:

Default all war

all wars are wrong and only our leaders seem to profit.mortician doesn't do too bad either. You'd think the social contract would appreciate the physical and psychological sacrifices the fighting man has done in shaping their "creation".Instead we get a tin cup, a crutch and a place to die.I'm talking about both sides and all eras.We have made enemies of each other for thousands of years and we still can't identify our true enemy.Looks like the answer comes from within. Per se-Why do we believe=what we think we believe=a common herd glue=an elitist nightmare.Who do you think is your worst friend.I'll give you a hint--What's the ugliest part of the body.
