I sure didn't expect that. I'm starting to investigate one of the old complaints I heard once.
Congratulations. I hope the power doesn't go to your... augh! I'm blind! aarghh...

Love you too.

Funny thing, when my non-Christian daughter says, "I love you Mom", I never question whether she is capable of expressing love.
I feel it.
Aww. How cute.
She single?

I think it is entirely possible that they are responding to recent suggestions that they admit at least one (relatively) liberal Christian. I'm inclined to regard this with 'cautious optimism' (although I seem to recall that phrase irritates me for some reason).

So you're supposed to be their conscience. How interesting. Does this mean you have to go to church now?

I don't know. I think I'm a special case. God and I worked this out a while back; somewhere down the road, when I'm more able to cope with people, I'm gonna find a church, but right know, the politics drives me nuts.

Which makes this whole thing rather ironic.

Still, it's really interesting seeing behind the curtain. There's more work there than you'd probably expect.

An example of the problem at CF:
Quote:
Erwin:
Whilst I disagree that they should open a thread there that allows members to openly post absurd accusations towards our staff, I agree that it's their site, and they have a right to do whatever they want with it.
Erwin considers the complaints against his board "absurd." Before he called them "slanderous." Such denial is not going to improve the things seebs has brought up. (I tried to do so earlier in this thread, but was of course ignored.)

Serious problems that I have encountered on CF:
  1. Multiple, identical warnings on the same post.
  2. In ability to contact staff during a banning.
  3. Refusal of staff to respond to non-christian complaints. (I had to get Wildy to act as my proxy for them to even acknowledge the complaints.)
  4. Failure of staff to communicate mod actions to users.
  5. A senior administrator who lies and breaks promises with respect to moderation.
  6. Warnings issued for discussing biology in the science forum. (Apparently, AiG's explaination of why men have nipples is offensive to christian ears.)
  7. Staff using sockpuppets to violate the rules they are supposed to enforce.
  8. Inability to seek redress in public, and staff who refuse to discuss their moderation decisions.
  9. Although, you're told that you can go up the ladder. The staff gets pissy if you do.

I am waiting on discussions with a couple of specific people to talk about anything in particular - the default is that staff stuff is confidential. I am willing to take on investigations of specific claims, but there's not much I can say without permission, given the confidentiality.

I can say in the general case that I was able to verify that a couple of specific complaints appear to have resulted from misunderstandings.

seebs,

You should probably first address the claims of people still interested on posting on CF.
