No, I tried this; all that happened was that they stood there and made very rude remarks about my housekeeping.

And I bet you they told their parents damning reports too.

You could always teach her to bake meth for breakfast.

my advice? you sit and eat the benefits, it'll wear off
I don't know about that. That was about the same age I learned to bake, and I still love it. I bet your kitchen smells delicious in the morning. Making her do the dishes may help, but it never stopped me, it just made me better at keeping the kitchen relatively clean as I baked.

luna, capitalize on it! I suggest opening the Internet Infidels Online Bakery. I'm sure you could twist enough heathen arms with the promise of cakes and cookies to make it quite lucrative.

This has got to stop!!
Why? I mean, *FREE CAKE*. That's better than most kids are good for.

Nevermind, just realized I know the answer to my own question: You're likely in danger of violating child labor laws.

Warm bicuits when you wake up? Cake? Yeah - you got problems.

I say encourage the little one, but then I'm a chef.

*sigh*

There were no clean dishes left for her to work with this afternoon. Yet somehow banana muffins made their way into the house. Hardened damp flour covers the entire kitchen and child. She's managed to put plates and cuttlery in the dishwasher, but all the bigger, hard stuff is left for me. The sink overfloweth with muck.

And in a week I won't be able to fit my jeans.

*sigh* - grabs another comforting piece of chocolate cake, with a banana muffin on the side. At least I've managed to teach her to make a decent cup of coffee as well.

Not a bad idea, either. That'll make it so much easier to gather the enthusiasm required to clean up after her.
