Post Pinoy Atheists

I'm sorta new here and I'd like to discuss the Philippine experience. Persecution, pros, cons, stories, etc.

Kumusta ka?

Nothing much to say. I don't flaunt my nontheism openly, though I wouldn't deny it if confronted. Persecutions? None that I'm aware of, but I don't really rock the boat so people couldn't care less. Pros? I get to sleep late on sundays! Goodness, I read somewhere that the Philipines is 2nd in the world on sunday attendance. Cons? I guess it's the assumption by other people that you're a christian like them, then they'd "make kwento" (yuck, sounds so Kris Aquino!) about how god and jesus made them better people. I have no stories to tell, unless you ask something specific.

Hiya Ut! Well, you could've asked, silly!

Pinoy = Filipino male (informal)

me? I'm Chinoy.

but I am not really into the race thing...I'm more like Socrates:

"I am more than a citizen of Athens---I am a citizen of the world."

God bless you, Socrates.

well that's one con on being an atheist...you couldn't say "God bless" without sounding sarcastic.
