I was about to go on an Paul Kurtz != humanism rant... but this is a different atheist youth group co-op.
These are good guys. I sent them contact info for U of I's two freethought groups, because neither of the groups has their own stuff together. I don't think they've affiliated themselves... but at least the website doesn't say U of I's still wanting of secular groups. |

The Secular Student Alliance is a very good organization. Their prez is Augie Brunsman. He's a great guy and can offer tons of help on organizing and starting a campus godless group.
They sort of split from the Campus Freethought Alliance a few years go. CFA was one of Kurtz's organizations. Most student groups, however, end up affiliating with both SSA and CFA and the heads of both groups tend to work together a helluva lot better than the heads of the "adult" groups. Much appreciated! I'm in Missoula, the only liberal place in Montana and looking to get students together. There have got to be more than a few lone non-theists around here. I can smell the intelligence...Yes...well. Thanks much.
